Sadly, I can understand the position of other states to say they don't want their laws infringed upon or overruled.

Maybe more work can be done to create a happy medium in the permit requirements of most states first - measures that the states voluntarily put into their own constitutions first. Florida has decent requirements, which is why it has the highest reciprocity with other states. If places like CA and NY loosened up to our standards and the relaxed state tightened up to ours I think a piece of legislation like this would be a perfect example of how federal laws can help the states function together better.

But if some states laws are getting shafted by the deal then I can't blame them for shooting it down. Just being a realist on this issue. *shrug*

Understand or not... every stride they take is another step that is slowly choking off our gun rights. Little victory, or big.
