Wife got me 2 rifles for my B-day and the second came today. It is a Izhevsk M38 with an M44 laminate stock. It is a real nice rifle. I now have 5 Mosin Nagants, all different. I am building a nice little collection. We need to have a Mosin Nagant day soon. I am going to Markham on Saturday to fire the 2 new rifles. Here are some pics. I think I only need like a dozen or so more to have all the different Mosin Nagants made...LOL

Actually I am planning to go with Spikes 40 to Markham on Saturday. I will be happy to check your mosin out. I have a head space gauge and firing pin depth gauge. Just because I go shooting on Saturday doesnt mean I cant go on Monday too. Let me know when you want to go on Monday...I could always use the practice. Saturday is still on though for anyone that wants to go.

Btw, there seems to be a small creature lurking under your desk....if you don't address the issue that could turn ito a problem

We were going to head over after the gun show. We should be there between 11 and noon I think. It all depends how quick we navigate the gun show. I will pm you my number. Give me a call on Saturday and I will let you know where we are and what time exactly we will be at Markham.

He is such a ham. Anything to get in front of the camera. He thinks he is a little movie star. I didnt even see him there when I took the pics.

No Nagant pistols yet. I have been meaning to buy one but all these rifles just jump in the way.

As long as the loaded mags are not in the weapon, then you can bring them as is.

thought they were around $100? Maybe I just have my head up in the clouds or something

JaxChris

No, I posted the 80$ deal a while ago and that's when Asian Joe and a couple others jumped on them and the ammo.

I decided to skip it after I got sucked into buying up AR parts and 45 ammo like a crack fiend.

It works out to 90 something with shipping.

If I had my C&R I might reconsider. But how many would I have to buy before the license paid for itself?

anthony20031
08-21-2009, 12:18 PM
How much is the license?

JaxChris
08-21-2009, 12:27 PM
Somewhere between 30-50$ for 3 years, I think.

Dan
08-21-2009, 12:38 PM
I have my C&R, it is $30 for 3 years. Its a convenience to have the C&R rifles/pistols shipped straight to me. I suppose paying $30 per transfer, it pays for itself in the first purchase. I dont mind paying the transfer fee so thats not why I did it. The main reason I did it was because it was easier then having the rifles transferred and having to go pick them up. If you dont mind a little paperwork, the C&R is cake.

I just ordered rifle #6 a couple of days ago, an M44 carbine from Wiedners. It should be here Monday. They are selling the M44s for $99.00 where the rest of the world is getting $150+ for them.

Well all of my rifles are from the 30s and 40s so not quite the 1890s but I got a good chuckle out of it. Which brings me to another point. IF you are a Tarantino fan, you MUST go see Inglourious Bastards. Just got home from the theater and I am still blown away. That man sure does know how to create suspense. What a role by Brad Pitt...amazing.

JaxChris

I actually can't stand Tarantino's pothead munchies humor in his films. But I admit Pitt has gotten better as he ages.
