I know Bass Pro will not let you fire Wolf ammo at that range. Are there any indoor ranges that will let you use Wolf? I have found a decent deal on .45ACP but its Wolf. Just curious.

I know Wolf is crap but its impossible to find .45acp for a decent price in any other brand. Plus I have a Glock, which will take any ammo without an issue. I dont like Wolf but I figure shooting crappy ammo on occasion to practice is better then no practice at all.

You are kidding, correct? Natchez has many good, known brands of 45acp in stock. I always order from them and receive it in under a week's time.

Umm, there is nothing wrong with Wolf. I've shot the stuff myself now and it is far cleaner shooting than WWB from Walmart. Also, I've done my research and the polymer coating doesn't gunk up a chamber like the old lacquer coated used to. The polymer doesn't rub off like the lacquer either.

Another myth is steel breaks extractors... not true either. And they use a bi-metal alloy for the case, not pure steel. The alloy is just a little harder than brass which prevents case deformation that you deal with in brass.

They seal their ammo per mil-spec, and don't use craptastic inkpens to slobber sealant over the primer like S&B - which actually gunks your firing pin and breech face. This causes light primer strikes and requires a full strip cleaning of the weapon as opposed to a field strip cleaning.

I really think people are just prejudice without trying it themselves. I would say 9 out of 10 people that badmouth the stuff have never used it. From what I've seen, Wolf is about the most reliable ammo behind maybe Black Hills.

Ranges say "no Wolf" because many ranges make money off selling the spent brass to reloaders or metal recyclers. Steel has no value for recycling, while brass and copper fetch the high prices (especially copper).

Grab the Wolf and shoot the shit out of it, it won't hurt anything. It's dirtier than Federal, but cleaner than Winchester - so just clean your weapons. =)

I am not at all worried about firing Wolf out of my Glock or AK. I was just wondering what local ranges permit it. Now that I know Arizona does I will be ordering some Wolf. At a tad over $16/box it is really affordable. I cant see dumping $28-$32 a box on the other crap. The only thing close in price is Stone Hart at $21/box. But after I drive to Miami and back the savings are gone. I love my .45 but it is really becoming a pain in the ass to get ammo for.
