Well Dave and I decided we needed to go function Test his rifle this morning.
Im happy to say that the gun functions perfectly, though we have some issues with the optic.
That topic for another day.
I also took my little Tactical 10/22 to run some match ammo I purchased some time ago.
Wolf Match
.22 Long Rifle
Match Target 40 gr Solid Round Nose
Rimfire
1050 fps
Street Price 50.00 for a box of 500
Unfortunately my 22 was fouled when we went to the range so I do personally believe accuracy of this particular ammo may have suffered.
From what Ive gathered on this non-scientific range day was Wolf M/t is a superior rimfire cartridge.
Through about 100 rounds of W/M/T the largest group at 25 yards was significantly less than 1/4 inch.
The performance of the rifle and ammunition was impressive enough to have the rangemaster begin to ask Dave to shoot targets out at 100 yards. This is a 22 with a 16 inch barrel remember.
With that said, Dave isnt one to back down from a challenge. We moved the target out and began going at it with CCI target grade. Good ammo but significantly less consistant than the Wolf. Between the 2 of us we were able to eventually gauge the holdover and paper some groups.
My personal best was a 3 touching group in the 7 ring at 100 yards.
The bullseye is less significant than the small touching group. This proves consistancy of the rifle and shooter.
Unfortunately the thunder gods decided to wiegh in and we had to call it a morning without retrieving the 100 yard target.
Below are a few pics of the ammo test target.
Hope you all enjoy

Note the few flyers. We were dropping magazines through the gun at the rate of 10 rounds in about 25 seconds with 3 different types of ammo. Like I said not a scientific day but I couldnt be more proud of the rifle.
