Man Knocks On Door, Shoots Resident
Police Search For Suspect In Shooting

DANIA BEACH, Fla. -- Police are searching for a man suspected of knocking on a Dania Beach resident's door and shooting him earlier this month.
According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, a man wearing a business suit and carrying a leather attaché case knocked on Tobias Barfield's front door in the 100 block of Northwest 13th Avenue on Oct. 5.
Police said Barfield opened the door, and the visitor shot him. Investigators said they believe Barfield was the intended target of the shooting. He was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital, and BSO said he has since been released.
John Roger Jenkins, 31, of Miami Gardens, has been named a suspect in the case. He drives a white Infiniti with a Miami Dolphins tag.
Police said Jenkins, whom they consider armed and dangerous, will face charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
