View Full Version : interested in add a flashlight to my glock 26
i only have my conceal weapon so far, and im thinking in add a flashlight to have it handy in the night. instead to carry this in another hand, in looking for ways and flashlights that could be mounted on the 26.
problem? 26 doesnt have a rail.
solutions? some adapters like this one that goes in the bottom of the magazine

or one that goes to the barrel

i would like to keep the price of the flashlight under $99 (actually even less). any suggestion in flashlight and adapter from your experience?
im kind of like the idea of the adapter for the bottom of the magazine. i could have an extra magazine with the adapter and the flashlight always ready, so i just need to swap magazines in the night to change from conceal to home protection.
thank you

I'm going to have to agree with spikey here. If you're carrying your Glock, you don't need a flash light anyways. That's just not practical. If you want a flash light, you don't need a Glock 26, because it's probably a home gun. So I'd get a full sized Glock with the accessory rail and then just get a Glock light.
Stay away from the mag mounted light. I can already see something like an accidental drop and the flashlight breaking away from the mag and dumping all the ammo everywhere. Carry the flashlight in the other hand or buy a G19 and a TLR3.
I have to disagree with mounting a light. In order for you to use the light efficiently you don't want to leave it on at all times. Usually mounting the light takes away from the ability to use the light and being to able acquire your target and pull the trigger in a more timely manner. I stand by having the light in the other hand, because leaving the light on only tells your assailant where you are at all times. Get a Surefire light FTMFW!!!

They have tac-lights that can be mounted on the front of the weapon to the rail for tactical operations, but I haven't found a concealed holster for one to date ony duty style holsters.
In that regards Cris has a point to the flashlight being in the other hand. Surefire makes some damn good flashlights that come in a number of sizes and have the momentary on switches etc.
As everyone else said, use the G26 to carry and get a second pistol for the nightstand. Personally I have a shotgun next to the night stand, oh yeah and my G30, AK47, a baton, and a few knives. Plus I have weapons stashed around the house in strategic locations. You bought the G26 because it was light and compact to carry, dont mess it up by trying to add a light to it.
LOL
got the message. i may just go with a surefire light and some night sights. for now, i will keep my gun count to just one, so that 26 will have to make it for concealed and home defense. maybe later will get more.
LOL

Night sights are must to have. Depending on which ones you go with prices should vary from $80-120. Plus with a Glock it only takes a few minutes to install and bore sight.
Let us know if we can help you out with them.
