So figuring some of you guys on the forum are good at hunting down deals, I was wondering what's the best deal you guys can find on this camera. It's for the wifey for Christmas. Best deal I found was on Amazon.com for $319.

Thanks!

Eh nevermind, you can close this thread lol. I went ahead and bought it after I realized if I wait too much longer I won't get it in time for Christmas lolol. Plus I think $319 is a good price since the MSRP is $399. Most places I saw had it for about $369

I searched on Newegg and Ben's Bargains. I've bought most of my cameras at either Newegg or using e-coupons at Dell Home. It seems that the best deal posted at Ben's for the P 90 was about 3 weeks ago for $272 thru an Amazon vendor. You probably had the best street price going at this particular time. Sometimes Costco or BJ's has coupon specials that are hard to pass up on as well.

Weird when I am at Ben's it says it is available for $275 on Amazon (doesn't say it is expired) but yet it shows as $319....Maybe Ben's hasn't updated their site yet?

Even tho it's not expired, I bet the deal was changed by the vendor and not updated to Ben's site. The expiration really reflect time sensitive bargains sometime that are limited by hours or number of items at that price. I used to visit that site daily to look for stackable coupons and stuff. Also, Fat Wallet is another good deal notification site.

I heard good things about these Nikon Coolpix cam's, so I decided to look at it one day. When I looked it over I was not impressed with them at all.

I'm wondering why she wants that big of a camera and its not an SLR? Does she plan on using multiple lenses?

Nope I don't believe this one has multiple lenses....it has a much better zoom capability though...The next camera up in the line has multiple lenses. She wants a professional "type" camera but at the same time she doesn't...if that makes any sense
