So I was using some Federal 55 grain 5.56 NATO rounds when I shot my AR last. Cris said, from the price I told him I got them for, they were probably dirty rounds and that he thought the casing wasn't brass and it would damage my firing pin. I only shot about 260 rounds that day, but from those few that I shot, the dirt pretty much felt right off with some breakfree CLP. From the research I was doing on other forums and websites, it seemed like people were saying the casings are in fact brass as well.

So I was just wondering if anyone else here has used these and what they think of them, because in my area, and from the research I've been doing, getting 500 rounds for $225 is one of the best deal, because I read these are some of the best.

The box is what made Cris think it might not be brass(where it says metal casing), but I think they still are from what I've been reading.

those are GREAT rounds! Instead of posting pics of the box, it would be better if you posted pics of the ammunition itself. But im sure those are brass casings.

As for the price you got it for, is that the usual selling price they have or is that a one time deal as a package purchase with your rifle?

The box says metal casings right on it. If you want some more Guntech has some Wolf metal casings, 1000 rounds for $150 that a customer is looking to unload.

I shot plenty of it in the Army. It is a brass cartridge even the box is marked metal (never quite understood D.O.D. logic on name classification). It is a bit of a dirty round as they use cheaper grain, but it is very effective. I have probably fired 10k rounds of that stuff and of that only ever had 2 pop and no kicks, and 5 ineffective rounds

Brass is metal Cris lol. It doesn't say steel or something.

Fucking idiots at Federal, right brass casing on the box. Guess that's the best you can get out of Minnesota.
