I beleive I have mentoned it here before, but as long as I have had my own home I have only locked the door a few times, usually when going out of town for more than a couple of days. My parents are the same and for 32 years I never remember their house being locked, if the front door was locked then the side door was always unlocked.
Well Saturday night (or the technical Sunday morning) My neighbors had family visiting, and he brought his 4 wheeler for the kids to play on. Well somebody backed into their driveway, and rolled it out of his truck into theirs, took his straps and ramps and casually drove off. We have never had problems like these.. I actually feel bad, if was pretty cool but if I had left the dog out then it never would have happened or if they tried then everybody would have at least known something was going on. Long and short guess its time to start locking my doors, sad part is I'm not even sure where the keys to the damn thing are.
Anyway cliffs
I never lock my doors
Crime happened- Neighbor had 4 wheeler stolen from front yard
Now I am going ot start locking my doors, and the dog says out at night
I hate thieves. When you put your hard earned money into things, these scum come and take it.

yh that sucks. My family up in Mass never locked our doors when we were growing up. Living here and with the change of times my family, as well as myself, always lock our doors now.

:+1: That situation blows big time! It's a bitch because the scum take our shit and get away with it. While we can do nothing!

The dog isn't being punished, he is just getting moved out of the office and into the field.
The LEO said there were several taken over the past week, and that is the only instnace that was close to my home although the others were in town. One minor crime doesn't condemn the neighborhood, but it does put a crack in the sense of security the people around here have always felt.

Someone lifted my Oakley shooting glass case with two lenses that was clipped to my range bag at Markham. I had stepped away from my bag and some asswipe took the opportunity. That was costly for me and useless for them unless they have the Oakley M's.
lol. The thing with scumbags that steal is that they have no fucking honor. You are incapable of stealing.

LOL, I know. I just kept thinking to myself the other day while at the range how much money you lost and it was for lenses.

Sorry to hear about that bad news. Its a sad fact of life my friend but society is changing and not for the better even if your niebourhood is the best around scum can travel. All thieves should have there balls cut off (90%) are men anyways you get my drift.

Yes, the show is rigged and completely Springer-ized.

Sooooo.... Today I was taking down and putting away all the Christmas lights and stuff. Looking down from my ladder in my walkway I spot a dark object in the bushes. I fish it out and it's my Oakley glass case. It must have snagged onto the bushes when I went out to the range that morning. I must say with all the rain that we've had, it faired extremely well. My faith in the shooting community has been restored. :)

Congrats. Going to stop looking at the other range patrons as potential targets now?
