Got through on the Schnitt Show today. Gave me about 45 seconds to talk about the problem we just had with AMEX. Went kinda like this...
Schnitt: Dave from Coral Springs, FL...you've got 45 seconds....
Me: So we just got an American Express card for our business. They told us there was no preset spending limit, and I made it clear that we planned on spending roughly $10,000 a month on it. The froze our account after spending about $4500 over two or three weeks, and refused to unfreeze the account, even though I offered to pay the balance in full.
Schnitt: So what did they tell you was the reason for freezing the account or lowering the limit.
Me: Nothing, because it's a new account. What's beyond me is that they refused to unfreeze the account even though I offered to pay the balance in full. No more AMEX for us!
Schnitt: See everyone....this is affecting real people all over and it's going to get worse...
Went to break right after that. Pretty cool that I got to bash AMEX on a nationally syndicated talk show though. :D
