May want to start pushing any Form 1's you had plans for (suppressor, SBR, etc) now.
In case Obama starts getting his parties people in the ATF, like this Traver guy, it is best to file now before the rush that will ensue the day he is confirmed.
Remember, you do not need to have full possession of materials to file a Form 1 for a suppressor or SBR. You can get the stamp in advance as long as you have the lower (for an SBR) or know exactly how you are going to mark and serial your own homebrew suppressor.
Think I will be picking up some lowers this week to start SBR'ing as soon as I can. I can imagine how many more hoops or epic slow downs the liberals might create at the ATF to make possession of firearms (especially Class 3) more difficult and time consuming. They could even push to have the tax stamp amount increased, which would be a catastrophe to the market. After all, they have some ground on which to ask for the increase. The original 200$ amount was calculated based on the average monthly salary in the US at the time -- as a deterrent from legally possessing such items. If they are allowed to adjust that to today's costs it would make a tax stamp about 3000$. You won't see many people buying Class 3 after that. And it would ensure that only government and law enforcement (whom are tax stamp exempt) have such weapons in the future.
Beat the rush, do it now.
