FINALLY, after around 11 years ( about as old as my kids are ) I shot my guns again... I had put them away when they were born...


at first I was all over the place, but by the last clip I was on the money.


I was so excited... Just like my first time:D

Taurus PT-99 with wrap around Pachmayr grip.

The Taurus felt best and was the most accurate.

I recently got a CCW here in Florida and a new pistol. I had not had a carry permit or fired a gun in 30 years. I'm too old to take an ass whoopin' and it's a jungle out there! I'm carrying a full sized pistol and it conceals well (I like the 16+1 capacity).

so I took the day off yesterday and VOTED, and then went to the range with my wife.. she also had not shot a gun since before our kids were born..

she first shot with the Taurus 9mm and was pretty good.. then she shot with the S&W 9mm and was all over the place.. then she picked up the AR put 3 rounds down range and she freeked out.:eek:

I had her calm down and take another turn with the Taurus and she hit a dead on bullseye!!

yep.. they have a rifle range with about 6 lanes

first shot I was trying to help her handle the AR, she brought the butstock up to her chin and fired:eek:.. OUCH. at that point she was done with the AR :)

we want to do a range day at Trail Glades.. I'll let you know
