(not sure if this is the right area or not but it kinda fits in with gunsmithing)
We now have the equipment set up again at Guntech to Duracoat firearms. It took a little while to get everything going again after the opening of the new shop with all the craziness but now it's all good. If you're not familiar with Duracoat it's a paint process specifically designed for firearms. It will handle the heat and chemicals that firearms are subjected to and it's extremely durable and scratch resistant once cured. There's also Durafill which can be used to fill in and repair severe pitting from rust so if you have an older damaged firearm it is most likely repairable.
Prices start at $100 and all the work is done on site at Guntech Inc. We can do everything from one color paint, to restoration, to full custom designs.
All the stock patterns can be found here (any custom pattern can be made)...

This is the weapon that was done by Guntech. Previously, the frame was nicked and scratched beyond repair, or so I thought. Look at it now!!!
they did the black, or the whole gun?

Just the black (frame). The slide is stainless and is in excellent condition. This was my duty weapon, but I retired it when the department went to "glock only" policy, which has recently been changed again back to the previous policy (S & W, Beretta, H & K, Sig, Glock, etc.)
Guntech did a great job on this gun!!!!!!!!!!
I remember that gun well, as I was charged to reassmble the gun. I have a German made 226 as well. IMHO, the Sigs we have prior to Sig making the frames out of Exeter NH and then going to the bar stock machined slides are the absolute best in quality and accuracy.
Now if we can only get those wood grips...... lol

Now if we can only get those wood gripsl
I'd be happy just receiving a gun from them
These aren't Sig wood grips, but then again, any wood grips from Sig today would not be ones that you would have had from your gun's time period.

Here's one set that is being auctioned by a private seller and probably more what would be factory original.

I remember that Sig, I helped Chris with that. the Duracoat really does leave a nice finish and fills in scratches nicely. for stuff that's really pitted there's Durafill, we did a couple of old rifles and shotguns that started off looking like they weren't fixable but came out nice :)
I look forward to joining ya on some of these jobs.

It was a Union job
Then only one person would have touched it while 10 would have supervised.
