Looking into some of these knives. After seeing one them in a Barrett magazine I really liked the design. I see Lino has one I was looking at, but I am also looking into another. Yes, I do have a knife addiction. Probably from all the years my parents said I couldn't have one. My collection is growing pretty quickly and I never stop looking.

Lino, could I get a little more feedback from you on your Boker blade now that you have had yours for some time? Is this thing pretty sharp out of the box? Has it kepts its edge. I am not too familiar with Boker but know its a decent name in the knife world. We have one type of Boker in the shop that I am not very fond of seeing its not really in the tactical family.

This is the Blade I am looking into getting....

Jim Wagner Reality-Based Blade, serrated

Hey Cris,

That is basicly the same exact blade I have. I think that particular model is a manual knife. It was razor sharp out of the box. Mine kinda bit me a little while playing with it. It is all aluminum, fits very nice in the hand. I have tested it on some raw pork shank, and it sliced the flesh down to the bone with minimal effort. Used it to cut some tie raps, boxes, rope.. all with ease..

The opposite side of that blade is completely flat and has a grove built in so when you stab flesh and try to remove the blade, air goes in the groove and reduces the force ( due to suction) needed to withdraw the knife before your next strike. ( I tried it on the pork.. it was pretty cool)

also comes with the tools to change the end from a glass break to a pen top ...

Yours is an auto? Then why is the one I am looking at more money? Going back to the website now.

Neither of the listings say if they are auto or not. Going to have to get Rich to call the reps tomorrow for more details. I liked yours but I wanted a heavier and longer knife. Compared to yours its about twice the weight and almost 2" longer.

I got the Emerson Commander. I love it! It's an outstanding knife.

I can't believe you're looking for another knife. The SOG has been the knife i've been looking for. I don't think i would need anything more from a knife unless i were to go to a fixed blade!

That's like telling me that I have the gun of my dreams already and I don't need any more. There is no such nirvana for me, only the quest to find another great gun.

Yes, I never have enough knives. I see them and I must have them. Just like Phil with his guns. I am sure after this knife give me a few more weeks and I will find another.

I don't see anything wrong with that. They say bigger is better. Anything can get the job, but it may be more fun if it's bigger. lol

I actually saw this knife the other night Lino. Zach at the shop has one, I did like it a lot. I still want to see the other one first though, like I stated before I wanted a heavier knife also.
