Spare parts

I know we all are feeling the slump of ammo prices and have not been shooting as much. But still i think it would be important to have certain parts on hand for that "just in case" type of moment. So, i figured with a little bit of forum participation, this thread can be as a sort of reference and resource of what parts we should have and a source of where to get them. Please feel free to add/edit.

Broken shell extractor? (though with modern ammunition this should be less of an issue)

AR-15 definitely needs an extractor backup and could use an upgrade spring or insert. Other parts for the AR-15 would probably include: firing pins, recoil springs, gas key w/ screws, pin kit, spring kit.

Basically you can keep going to the point that you have everything except a stripped upper, stripped lower, barrel, and stock. And even those things you never know because lined barrels are proned to failure due to wear and separation. (I didn't know this until I started reading about this)

My best bet would be to stock up on DPMS Ultimate Repair kits and may stockpile some lower receivers in case they do manage to pass another assault weapon bill because the stripped lower is the part that is registered and regulated on the AR-15.
